Tarot: My Unexpected Path to Inner Peace (and Maybe Yours Too!)
Hey everyone, Ava here!
For most of my life, I've felt a little...different. Maybe you'd call it being highly sensitive. Like I could pick up on energies others missed. My childhood nickname was actually "Truth Speaker Child" (yep, you read that right!). Adults would confide in me, and I'd somehow manage to see right through their problems and extract a deep truth to share with them. It was a bit intense at times, but hey, seeing beyond the veil is an incredible gift.
Fast forward to 2022, and my big sis absolutely fell in love with Tarot. Seeing her spread out those beautiful cards, each one bursting with symbolism, sparked a curiosity in me. She started offering readings, and the clarity I felt after a session was mind-blowing. So, I took the plunge and decided to explore the world of Tarot for myself. For some, diving into tarot might sound scary. However, it calms me to know that I am only using the cards to consult with my higher self.
Let me tell you, it wasn't like some mystical movie scene where spirits whispered secrets in my ear. Learning Tarot takes time and dedication. But the more I delved into the meanings of the cards, the more I felt a connection. It wasn't just memorizing interpretations, it was like unlocking a part of myself I never knew existed. Using tarot to reach conclusions and validate my own feelings toward a situation has been an amazing self-trust exercise.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not some fortune teller. Tarot isn't about predicting the future; it's about understanding the present and navigating the path ahead with a little more clarity. It's like having a personal guidance counselor disguised as a deck of beautifully illustrated cards.
And you know what? It's been amazing. Tarot has helped me navigate tough decisions, uncover hidden anxieties, and tap into my own inner strength. Sometimes, I even offer readings to close friends and family who are facing challenges. Seeing their faces light up after a session that helps them see things a little clearer is seriously rewarding.
But for now, Tarot is my little sanctuary. It's a way to connect with myself and gain a deeper understanding of the world around me. Who knows, maybe one day I'll feel ready to share this gift with the world, but for now, it's my personal journey of self-discovery.
